Drama channel has been showing it on Saturdays for the past few weeks, but they stopped halfway through series 4 last week. I googled it and found all the rest of the episodes (obvious old recordings fro UK Gold etc), and bingewatched my way through the rest of it over the past few days. A great example of old-fashioned period drama done well. They probably couldn't make it now.

Watched the first series of a newish Netflic sci fi/fantasy drama yesterday. It's called Beyond. Kid wakes up from a 12-year coma with strange abilities and starts experiencing flashbacks to a mysterious 'Realm'. As American shows of this type go, it'd quite good, with a likeable cast. Never heard of most of them, though the hero's dad is played by the bloke who played Sal in Southland. The Realm is a sort of mindcape which appears to lead to the afterlife, and the bad guy wants Our Hero to open the bridge to Heaven so he can be reunited with his dead wife. But there's a sting in the tail... Isn''t there always? :-)

So far there's one more series. I hope it's as entertaining as the first. Travelers certainly was (and that's coming back for a third run next year). Now all I need is the second series of The OA.

Another interesting possibility drops in May, called The Rain. Some kind of acid rain apocalypse, by the look of the trailer. It's Norwegian, I think, but I've watched Dark, and The 3%, (German and Brazilian respectively). Do need to catch up on The Crown, though.
