Saw a flash of a kingfisher under the railway bridge this morning. Then out along the towpath I spotted a hare loping towards me before it got wind of me and dived off into a field. And then, under the elder bushes, I heard a rustle, and managed to catch sight of a fox with a kill in its mouth. It was a very brief glimpse before it readjusted the dead creature (might have been a hare or a rabbit, probably a hare because it was quite hefty I think) in its grip before moving off into the wheat, presumably to eat it. That's two foxes seen up close in the past few weeks :-D
